On Saturday, November 21st, the GRC Band will be participating in the 2nd Annual UK High School Band Day. Students will meet at 1pm @GRC and bus to the UK Campus. We will rehearse with the UK Band and other high schools participating, eat lunch, change into uniform, and go to the stadium to enjoy the first half of the UK/Charlotte game. At halftime, the combined bands will perform God Bless America and America the Beautiful as part of the UK Heroes Day Presentation. After halftime, we will change out of uniform and bus back to GRC, returning home around 10pm.
- Students will need to bring dinner money – $10 for all you can eat at The 90 Cafe, UK’s newest dining hall.

- All band members are expected to attend. Please email Mr. Payne with any conflicts.
- The UK Band offers scholarships for students who participate in the marching band. This is a great way to get a chance to see what college band is all about.
