It’s that time again! It’s time to elect your booster board representatives for the coming 2016 – 2017 term.
The following positions will be voted on at the May 16th concert:
1. President
2. Vice President – Member Relations
3. Vice President – Operations
4. Vice President – Ways and Means
4. Vice President – Bingo Operations
6. Secretary
7. Treasurer
8. (6) Directors-at-large Positions
9. Campbell Representative
10. Baker Representative
**Many positions will be vacated this year due to graduation.
If you are interested in any of the above positions or any other position or know a person who you would like to nominate, please contact me as soon as possible. Also, if you currently hold a position and wish to run again, let me know that as well.
Below is a description of each position.
I. Duties of the President The President shall preside at all meetings of the CCBB, conduct the same according to the rules adopted, enforce observance of these By-laws and other rules, decide all questions of order, sign all official documents as approved by the board. The President will serve as chairperson of the Board of Directors, and perform all other duties pertaining to the office of President
II. Duties of the Vice Presidents The First Vice President shall serve as Chairperson of the Membership/Relations Committee. The Second Vice President shall serve as Chairperson of the Ways and Means Committee. The Third Vice President shall serve as the Chairperson of the Operations Committee. The Fourth Vice President shall serve as the Chairman of Bingo Operations. In the absence of the President during a meeting of the CCBB or Board, the First Vice President shall perform his duties. Membership/Relations It shall be the duty of this committee to develop and implement programs. Some of these duties could include updating Membership records and mailing list, oversee the Booster website, to provide information to local news media, and to the membership by newsletters which would help facilitate the relations of the CCBB to the public as well as the relations within the membership.
Ways and Means it shall be the duty of this committee to develop and implement plans and programs to raise the funds necessary to carry out the purposes of the CCBB.
Operations The operations committee shall be composed of the Third Vice President, a Pit Crew, concessions and food coordinators. It shall be the duty of this committee to develop and implement plans to provide and coordinate the volunteer support for such operations. Coordinate food, hotels, pit crew, and staging areas. Bingo Operations The bingo operations committee is in charge of all bingo operations. Making sure teams are functioning and recruiting volunteers to fill the positions needed on each team. Other duties as the VP of Bingo operations sees to delegate.
III. Duties of the Secretary The Secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of the meetings of the Board and CCBB as a whole, and keep a roll of members. The Secretary shall keep the Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, Roberts’ Rules of Order, Standing Rules and any other written rules of the CCBB. The Secretary shall note all amendments and have a current copy of each with them at every regular and special meeting.
IV. Duties of the Treasurer: The Treasurer shall keep an accurate account of all monies received and expended. The Treasurer shall disburse no funds except as prescribed in these bylaws or as directed by the Board. At each regular meeting of the Board, he shall submit an itemized statement of disbursements and receipts. Additional duties shall include timely filing of Federal Tax Returns.
V. (6) Duties of the Directors at Large: The Directors at Large shall represent the band members, students and parents from their respective schools and in doing so, will maintain a close contact those groups and individuals, encouraging them to take an active part in band and booster activities.
