On Tuesday, May 7, the GRC Symphonic Band will perform at the KMEA State Concert Band Festival at the University of Louisville’s Comstock Hall. We are excited to perform three new pieces for this event:
- Inglesina (“The Little English Girl”) by Davide Della Cese, edited by John Bourgeois
- Conducted by student teacher Tyran Ellis
- Ghost Train – 2nd Movement – “At The Station” by Eric Whitacre
- featuring Elijah Odorizzi – piano and Raven Patrick – soprano saxophone
- Ride by Sam Hazo
We are excited to show off what we have been working on this month.
GRC performs at 11am. Admission is free.
Itinerary:
- 7:45am – Meet in band room, warm up
- 8:30 – Depart
- 10:00 – Arrive at UofL
- 10:30 – Warm Up
- 11:00 – Perform!
- 11:30 – Clinic
- Noon – Depart for Lunch
- 1:30 – Depart for Winchester
- 3:00 – Arrive at GRC
