On Friday, September 6, the community will gather to inaugurate the new Cardinal Stadium. The GRC Band will figure prominently, performing “My Old Kentucky Home” and “The Star Spangled Banner” alongside the Orchestra and the Cardinal Singers. We will also perform the first half of our 2019 competition show production, “Edge Of…”.
- 4pm – Meeting in Auditorium
- 4:15 – Dinner (provided)
- 5:00 – Transit to stadium, find seats in the bleachers
- 5:30 – Rehearsal begins
- 6:15 – Pit clears the field – move equipment to the side 1 staging area
- 6:25 – Rehearsal Ends
- 6:30 – Dress into uniform (Exact uniform is TBA, weather permitting )
- 7:10 – Parade block to stadium
- 7:30 – Opening Ceremony begins
- 8:00 – Kickoff
- 9:15 – Halftime Performance
- 9:30 – Return pit equipment to band room
- Dismiss at the end of the game, apx 10:30
