GRC Fight Song (MIDI)

Here’s what to do:

• Have up your music for the fight song
• Play along to the audio recording above
• Use headphones and STAY WITH THE METRONOME
• Record yourself using your phone – Please record in LANDSCAPE (sideways, not vertical)
• Email your file to director@grcband.com
• Try to do this TODAY! This is an experiment before we try to do some other more complicated things in the future
• Take as many takes as you need to get it right. Make sure you play with the correct space and style, or it won’t line up.
• Start with the pickups to “A”, as always.

CCPS named 2020 Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation

Clark County Public Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. CCPS is one of 5 districts in Kentucky receiving this distinction.

Now in its 21st year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. To qualify for the Best Communities designation, CCPS answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music programs, Responses were verified with school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
