Winterguard, All District Band, Sweet 16 Update

Good afternoon. What a crazy 24 hours.

In response to Governor Beshear’s request for Kentuckians to avoid all large crowds, we have cancelled the all district band event scheduled to take place at GRC this weekend.

In other news, WGI and TriState Marching Arts have cancelled the remainder of their seasons, effectively ending the winterguard competition season. Winterguard families will hear additional information form Mrs. Griffith.

And finally, the Sweet 16 has suspended play. The GRC Band will not be participating in any future games.

Drumline WILL practice until 6pm today.

We will post additional information about Tuesday’s Concert and Saturday’s KMEA Assessment as it becomes available.

WE ARE ADVISING ALL STUDENTS TO TAKE THEIR INSTRUMENTS HOME TODAY. THE BAND ROOM WILL BE OPEN UNTIL 6PM FOR LARGE INSTRUMENT PICKUP.
